In Brazil, the number of couples seeking assisted reproduction in specialized clinics is increasing considerably. Assisted reproduction is a set of techniques, which has as main goal to try to make pregnancy in couples having difficulty becoming pregnant.
The factors for this growth are varied. Among them is the fall in the cost of treatment, with the launch of Project Access in the country. The program that aims to make it viable treatment for people with economic difficulties, offering special discounts for medication and the clinic.
Hundreds of couples with infertility problems, and economic conditions to carry out restricted treatments, are already benefiting from the project. Created by the Laboratory Serono, in partnership with the company and with clinical Vidalink of human reproduction, the Access Project, present in 20 Brazilian cities, is enabling the treatment of infertility with discounts of around 50% in drug and discount rates for different procedures physicians, as determined by clinicians.
In Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, more than 600 people have enrolled in clinical origin to participate in the program. "The goal is to make the dream of the couple who wants to have children, but it stumbles in financial difficulty" emphasizes the director of Clinical Origen, Marcos Sampaio.
The Clinic is still getting couples interested in participating in Project Access. Those interested should make an appointment, and when indicated, complete a form and send along with the documentation requested for Life Link. Evaluation of couples is based on the economic profile.
