TREATMENTS IN CLINICAL ASSISTED REPRODUCTION OF MAKING POSSIBLE PREGNANCY

- Polls show that one in six couples have trouble having a child

The infertility is characterized by the absence of pregnancy after a year of trying without the use of contraceptive methods. About 15% of couples of reproductive age experience difficulties to generate children.
According to the doctor and specialist in assisted reproduction clinic of BE, which is in the Hospital das Clinicas in Niterói and works in partnership with the Clinical ORIGIN, Dr. Mauro Bellece, the infertility is not a problem unique to women. About 40% of causes are related to female factors, 40% to male factors and 20% other causes are mixed. The doctor, in most cases, there is some kind of treatment that makes pregnancy possible, can vary from a simple guide to the use of techniques of assisted reproduction. But before thinking about infertility, the couple should try to conceive for a year, especially when the woman is under 35 years of age. "Only after this time, the investigations should be initiated," weighs Bellece.
Many factors can impair fertility. Among the main causes of female infertility are changes in the Fallopian tubes, uterine factors, hormonal or ovulatory factors, endometriosis and age. The causes can be male absence or low amount of sperm, decreased motility, changes in morphology, among others. In some cases, you can not determine the causes of infertility in men and women. "Making the correct diagnosis is a crucial step in determining the appropriate treatment. Some causes of infertility can be treated successfully through simple procedures and techniques such as artificial insemination, hormone therapy and minor surgery, "says the specialist.
In more complex cases, or when the treatments are simply not successful, the techniques of assisted reproduction, made in the laboratory, are the alternative one.
BE A Clinic, coordinated by the doctor Bellece Mauro da Silva, is a partner of the Center for Reproductive Medicine ORIGIN, world reference on assisted reproduction, based in Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro. The BE is established at the Hospital de Clínicas de Niterói. We use the highest technologies in assisted reproduction, thereby ensuring a high percentage of success rates in pregnancy. The clinic came to the task of supplying the need for services in the areas of medical diagnostics and human reproduction, grouped in a single physical area.
